How To Create Swimlanes

To create vertical or horizontal swimlanes use grouped shapes:

Insert a basic shape (e.g., square or rectangle).
Adjust its size and orientation depending on whether you want vertical or horizontal lanes.
Ctrl+A to select all and Ctrl + D to duplicate the selected group.
Align and distribute the shapes evenly to maintain a clean layout.
Repeat duplication to form multiple lanes. Right click > Group to group the element combinations.

You can also use a Grid background as a temporary guide. 😉
